Over the weekend I posted about being super nervous about my dress because the pictures were bad and my dress is very plain and I’m not wearing a vail, etc. well I went back and tried it on and decided to stick with it!! They’re also going to add a very tiny little bow to the belt area. (Keep in mind it still doesn’t fit properly)


My wedding is taking place in a mansion in Late November 2020 (hopefully it snows!!) and it’s going to be very romantic with lots of fairylights, fireplaces and candles. There’s also going to be a very small Harry Potter feel going on.


Also, I was wondering if you guys think adding a vail (in addition to the cape) would be too much? My sister has a gorgeous cathedral vail that I would use as my “something borrowed “. I have a very big and blingy hair piece so I don’t want to look too over the top.

    I LOVE your dress! And the cape is gorgeous! You look amazing in it. It is hard to say about the veil, you might want to try it all on together to see how it looks, but I agree that it may be a bit much. It is hard to envision though!

    I love your dress! Personally, I think adding in the veil may take away from the cape. But I would try it on all together to see what it looks like and go from there.

    Your dress is so beautiful! Like PP said, its hard to judge without seeing the veil on. I do agree that it might be a bit much though and take away from the cape. Definitely give it a try to see how you like it.

    I think there's so much going on with that dress and the cape, that a veil might be too much. It would just get lost in all that white! Plus, if you have a cool hair piece, you should not do anything to hide it.

    That cape makes it so ethereal! I'm not sure I would add a veil but it cant hurt to see how it al goes together.

    Gorgeous! I think a cape is ultimately meant replace a veil... so I think having both would look strange, if I'm honest.

    Girl there is nothing “plain” about your dress- it is beautiful, elegant, stunning! Love the cape with it!! I do think a veil might be a little too much though. Just my personal opinion.

    Your dress is gorgeous and the Cape will fit in beautifully with your theme, but I think adding a veil will take away from those pieces especially if you have a statement hair piece too.

    Omg, you are so Princess Bride!!!! Love all the decor ideas for your wedding. No veil, just the cape. Maybe a flower, gold or small crystal crown or headband.

    Your dress was beautiful before but with the cape you look like an absolute princess. I love it so much.
    I would not have a veil, just the headpiece. I think it would take away from the cape
