It looks great! Have you thought about whether you want to wear a veil or not?

I see! You have plenty of time! My wedding is a week from today....so I am going with what I have. I did look through eastmeetswest and didn't see anything. I was looking for something very unique, sheer with embroidery or 3-D created florals, I found a few singapore websites that offered these options but they didn't seem to ship outside the US. Your wedding will be so much fun, and Congratulations!

I bought one dress but found it way under budget (cheers to shopping pre-owned dresses on StillWhite) and didn't need alterations so have money left over for a second dress.

My wedding dress is fit-and-flare, lace (no stretch), and has a long train, so I may consider a second white dress or a jumpsuit (if I can find one that works for my long torso) for more mobility on the dance floor. I'm definitely going to wear the dress I have for the ceremony, photos, and first dances, but there is a very simple, inexpensive dress in a totally different style that I like (very contemporary, with more room in the hip and thigh and is a stretchy material), so if I can find that pre-owned as well at a good price I think I'm going to buy it so I have the option of changing halfway through the party if I want. If I don't end up changing during my reception this second dress is not exclusively a wedding dress in any way so it's something I could wear on my honeymoon, for some other wedding related event, or really any event where it would be appropriate to wear white.

I am not going to buy a second dress until I've figured out my shoes and any accessories for my ceremony dress first though, just in case those end up costing more than I am anticipating. A second dress is absolutely not a must for us, so I'd rather put those savings towards other aspects of the wedding first and probably won't make a second dress decision until much closer to our wedding date.

A week!! Enjoy 😍😍 I understand what you mean with the embroidery and flowers and I agree, Singapore has soooo many beautiful dresses! I looked for a while to find an authentic designer and they all seemed to be in Singapore and Malaysia. Instead, I found a western dress that coincidentally has Eastern elements. Anyway, you'll have a beautiful wedding I'm sure. 😍

I wore only 1 dress. Although if it was within my budget and I had found another, I totally would have worn 2! It seemed like a lot of work to change though so i just wore one dress for the entire day and that was just perfect! My husband did change though. He wore his dress blues for our ceremony and changed into a tux for the reception.

1! My dress is too beautiful and too expensive to not wear it all night! I joked that I will probably end up sleeping in it....We'll see! haha!

Jeanette, that's basically what I did for my tea ceremony dress! I shopped on Couture Candy and found a red sleeveless high neck dress, the bodice is fully embellished with red, green, gold beading, and the skirt is red. I really love it and honestly for about $400, it was way less than a custom qipao, around $1K in Taiwan was what I was told it'd cost!

When my mom saw it she said, this is perfect, it's as close as you can get to qipao without having to actually wear one!

I planned on only wearing one which I love! However, circumstances can change whether you think its necessary for two dresses. Since we plan on doing a sail away exit I feel it would be easier for me to switch into a cheaper still beautiful dress. This way I can get on the dang boat easier and sail away! Any thoughts?

Just one. I can't justify having multiple dresses for a 4-5 hour time period.

Right now I have a ball gown with a lot of beading at the top, and sequins dotting the tulle skirt. I’m thinking of switching to a simpler ball gown or possibly something a little bit slimmer.

Oh, I’ve found several xD. The 1st picture is the dress I have right now, the other 3 are pictures I’ve found of dresses I can exchange it for.
