Absolutely!! I tried my dress on at a consignment store and ended up finding it online (DavidsBridal.com) in my size as a sample for $635! Alterations were $200.

For Sure! I got mine for $250 including alterations. It really depends what you are looking for, and where you are wanting to shop. Look out for the deals!

Mine was $1235 after taxes and accessories. It’s Rebecca Ingram by Maggie Sottero, designer gowns for the budget conscious bride (their description). Haven’t done alterations yet.

You can totally do it! Mine was $415, custom sizing and shipping included.

My dress is from the online vendor Azazie. We're also getting bridesmaids dresses and FMIL is getting a dress from them. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. I'm waiting for my final dress order to arrive... My sister is a seamstress and will be adding a bustle. I'm pretty handy myself so I'll be doing a little hand-beading and altering the bust cups as needed. Azazie offers custom sizing, which cuts down on alterations and hemming costs.

I went to a bridal shop close to me and spent $1,100 on my dress, without alterations. There are many different options available to choose from, too. You can definitely find something if you take the time to look!

Yes! There are so many used dresses out there. I got an used Allure Drival for $400. I had been looking for so long, but most brides where a lot shorter than me. And just two months away from my wedding, found one on poshmark. It’s huge on the top, my hips are 41 which is size 12, but my bust is 34, so I had to buy a dress size 12 and will make the alterations. It’s gorgeous though!

I just went to the wedding dress section and filtered by price. If you like the dress you can call ahead and see if they have it prior to making your appointment.

I’d recommend looking for trunk shows at bridal shops in your area. I’ve been engaged before and I fell in love with a dress made by Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner. It was a $1600 dress, but I found out that Mori Lee was having a trunk show there 2 weeks later. Bought the same dress during the trunk show for $800!

I got my dress at Davids Bridal. It was on sale and I paid less than $1000 after all the taxes. They run deals all the time.
