Wedding Dress Alterations

Agi, on June 15, 2021 at 12:12 AM Posted in Colorado Planning 0 1

I just bought my dream dress at BHLDN, and was wondering how much alterations would cost with a BHLDN preferred tailors in the Denver area?

I'm not a big fan of the V neck, and this dress has a sultry V neck. I'm planning to add extra boning and sew cups to my dress to feel comfortable. Do you have suggestions to alter the V neck?

I'm somewhere between size 4 and 5, but my stylist recommended to buy 6 and then alter the dress.

I'm a bit nervous because my wedding is just 2 months away and I hope my dress fits me.

Any suggestions? Recommendations?

Hi Agi! Typically "standard alterations" include hemming, adding a bustle, and making some other small tweaks to the fit of the gown! Sewing in cups is also really common, but adding boning and changing the neckline of the dress will definitely be additional costs!

On the size front - standard practice is to order the gown to the size of your largest measurement, and then take in the dress where needed!
