Wedding dress alterations

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone thought it would be possible to have a sheath dress altered to be more fitted like a trumpet dress? I will attach a picture below. Picture on the left is how I would like the bottom ideally. Wedding dress alterations 1

Usually I say no (I worked in a bridal shop for 6 months), but your dress seems to be leaning in that direction. It’s possible but only a seamstress can say yay or nay.

You can make it more fitted around your upper thigh, but you can’t make it flair more because the fabric just isn’t there.

I did totally rework my skirt from full A line to fit and flair. It was expensive. But it worked because the extra fabric was there

Hey there, Rebekah! Welcome to the WeddingWire community Smiley smile

Your dress is so pretty! As the PP mentioned, I feel like you would need to speak to a seamstress about whether or not this is possible. He/she would be in the best position, with their professional experience, to advise if it’s possible.

A slip/petticoat would make it flare out more!
