Wedding Dress Alterations

Arianne, on July 27, 2019 at 2:02 AM Posted in California Planning 0 3

Anyone know of any good/reasonably price wedding dress alterers in the East Bay Area in California (near Alameda/Oakland area)?

Also, what's an average pricing range have you experience if you are getting hem, shorten straps, bustle, and bust darting? I was quoted $930 and I am looking to see if I have a chance of finding a cheaper spot.

Thank you!

Does the bridal store where you purchased your dress do alterations? They may be able to provide you with a great price or recommend a seamstress in the area!

    Hi Cliodhna,
Yes they do, and I felt my quote was pretty high/expensive. I didn't say yes to their alteration yet and decided to research around the east bay to see if I will find any other alteration spot and compare pricing/work history. Thank you!

Hi! So I was referred to Alterations by Nadia from my bridal boutique. They're located in San Leandro. She has great yelp reviews. Come to find out one of my close friends used her to alter her gown and she swears by her! She said Nadia totally transformed her dress for under $500. I haven't personally used her yet, but I will. I'm set for my first alterations next month. Good Luck!
