Wedding dress alterations - any advice?

Meghan, on August 27, 2019 at 7:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Hi all! I’ve had my dress altered and was happy in the shop and got it home with me and am now having doubts and would appreciate your advice/tips! There had been cups built into the dress, but I found them very noticeable so I asked that they be removed. However, now the dress sits weirdly (I have tiny boobs!) and the fabric wrinkles where the cups used to be. The seamstress suggests putting the cups back in, but I really didn’t like the look of the visible cups. Does anyone have any advice or tips? Thank you very much!

Do you have pictures of the before and after?
If it alters the dress that much by not having them, are there different style cups she could use to make them less noticeable ?

Is it possible the cups could be taken out? That should help make a difference!

You can try shapewear...like a corset. It gives structure without bulk.

Maybe take it to another seamstress. One that makes dresses.

Or wear your own strapless bra.

You could have different cups sewn in. Find ones that are your skin tone and they shouldn’t show.
