It's hard what to expect when everyone's dress is different and fits differently. I was budgeting for around $400, but it doesn't look like I am going to have to have as much work done as I thought I was going to.

    Yep...plan on $300-500. If not as much...awesome!

Mine was about $200 to take up the hem, shorten the shoulders and add two darts to the bust on a beaded gown. But this was also at a small local place and not david's bridal or any other national chain.

I asked this a while back when I was told mine was $550. I've seen girls post that theirs costed $100-$300 though, depends on how much alterations you need. Just hem and little things, cheaper, full bust take in, etc, more $$.

I lucked out and have a very good, very inexpensive seamstress- she's taking in the bust, letting out everywhere else, added some netting underneath, added cups, and fixed some poorly-done work the original owner had done. This will all run a little under $150

It depends a lot on where you live and the alterations you need. Also if your dress is lace or has heavy beading, etc. Mine was $400 but I've seen anywhere from $150 - $1000.

Mine was $178 at David's Bridal. I had expected it to be a lot more, but I did not have to have the dresses hemmed, so the cost wasn't as high or so they explained.

    Mine was $244 at David's.

I had it hemmed, bra cups added, and 11 point bustle added.

I had budgeted for only $300 but as of right now I am at $457 and still going up. Hopefully it won't be more than $700

Mine is $450. I had to get the top sides/under arm area pulled in, hemming, attach the belt, pull in the back on each side, and add my bustle (I honestly couldn't say how many points, I let her do her thing with it). My dress is lace, tulle, and that illusion mesh material so the material was one of the reasons that it was so expensive.

Close to $500. It really depends on what you need done.

I paid $329 for mine at DB. This included the hem, bustle, and it had to be taken out a little

Omg. Mine was 30 bucks. Don't just go with alterations because one seamstress tells you. Shop around. That is just so outrageous
