Details go in the wedding invitation and that’s also what people RSVP to.

You also can post details on your wedding website that your save the date and invitations can have information about.

The save the dates are to just let people know to keep that date open. An invitation is what includes all the wedding details and the RSVP. Depending on how many people you are inviting, getting texts can prove to be a little difficult to keep track of. Invitations are usually sent out 2-3 months before the event. Most people won't RSVP to something 10 months out. For cheap invites, check out Ann's Bridal Bargains. They are 99 cents for the whole suite and they often have 25% off sales. Good quality too.

You should send invitations with the details.

You send the details in wedding invitations, and people RSVP to that. But wedding invitations shouldn't be sent yet, not for quite a while - about 2 months before the wedding, with an RSVP date 2-4 weeks before the wedding.
