Wedding decorations

Ann, on February 4, 2020 at 7:30 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10
I have a real struggle buying stuff that I am only using once. Does anyone have any ideas how to focus decorations with things that I can simply pack up and use at home? I am doing the decorating myself

I’m the same way! What’s your theme or vibe you’re going for.

Same girl lol Let me ask you this, do you NEED to have a bunch of decor? My venue, for example, has a lot of natural beauty. I'm figuring centerpieces, and a few small things on a table with the guest book, and I'm calling that done lol All on how your wedding vibe is.

Lanterns or candles could be a nice thing that you could use later for decor. You can also repurpose these from the wedding hall (down the aisle) to the centerpieces.

Yep I agree. I would add decorations that I could use in my home. Lanterns, candles, etc

I rented 99% of my decor from a wedding planning company. Maybe you can search you area for something like that.

I’m looking into renting decorations for the day. I’m only going to use them once and it will probably be cheaper than buying a bunch of stuff as well as look more cohesive because it’s all from the same place

I’m shopping dollar store and clearance racks. I just bought at dollar tree some items. They’re for valentines but hearts are hearts. Lots of brides resell on Facebook marketplace and other sites. You’d be surprised what you can find. Also resale shops for vases, frames, etc.

Yes! Lanterns and candles can be re-used again, and so can vases and faux flowers.

We purchased re-usable plates and champagne glasses that we can use for future parties. They're super good quality plastic that we can wash, and when they finally crack or get worn out we can recycle them.

We also are doing a lot of old school decor like streamers, paper chains and balloons. These cost us nearly nothing but fill up a lot of space and scream "Party!!" so we don't feel like we overspent on those items. There are lots of ways you can spend a little on decor, and DIY will help you a ton.
