Wedding decor

Laqueena, on November 16, 2019 at 5:38 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
Are there any bris who are crafty that decided to decorate their own wedding i’m currently undecided what to do 😩 I love to do diy projects so I could save money if I decorate with the help of others or I could just get a wedding decorator but I know it can get pricey

I guess it depends on your budget. You could do a little of both if you wanted. Many DIY weddings are beautiful. It also depends if you have time and help.

I think it would depend on just how much decor you’re talking about. If you are having a very large wedding with a lot of decorations, you may be better off having an event planner, wedding coordinator, etc. There is sooooo much going on the week of your wedding, and spending hours of stress and manual labor the night before your wedding is probably not what you want to be doing. If you are having a small wedding with minimal decor, however, you may be able to just do it yourself with the help of friends or family. Also, check with your venue! Many of them offer day of wedding coordinators!

Girl I didn’t even read your whole comment. Do not do this to yourself. My aunt did this and it was a nightmare. Everyone that said they would help was getting dressed as if they were the ones getting married. The venue called 3 hours before the wedding and asked when someone was coming to decorate? My mom ended up having to decorate the entire space for 200 people and missed the wedding. I would suggest doing the DYI things but having a month of or day of coordinator to make sure everything is put into place. I repeat DO NOT DO THIS TO YOURSELF!!!

Oh wow that’s excellent that you have the venue that long. That takes some weight off your shoulders for sure!

Some DIY things to make your day special and unique are always a good way to go. I do agree with previous persons as far as decorating. I opted to hire and event designer and that is one of the BEST decisions I could have ever made. I don't have to worry about touching anything flowers, decor, set up, or break down anything! Neither will my family or bridal party! All I have to do is bring our guest book, welcome sign, and card box!
