We finally found a wedding decorator that we can afford. We are having a modest wedding and only want to spend 8% of our budget on decor. This decor company has some centerpieces and signs that we like and they will also do the lighting.

The problem is that they don't have our colors. I want a pastel and gold wedding. They have no pastel runners. Should we just buy our own runners and still use them for the other decor. I want to stay in budget. I'm having a really hard time incorporating our colors into everything. I just want the tables to look nice and not empty. No idea what to do for chargers either...as they are expensive as well. Were is/are the most important places to focus on for decor? Please post pictures of your own weddings especially if you had round tables. I feel like there's no realistic pictures on Pinterest I want to see real people's weddings.

The decor that you should focus on really depends on your venue. Some places are already well decorated, so the centerpieces don’t need much. If it’s somewhere like a banquet hall that is pretty bare bones, you might need more decor. Can you afford to buy or rent runners within your budget? What color are your tablecloths? I assure you, no guest is going to think differently of your wedding because you didn’t have runners. Here are our round tables for reference.

I agree! We stress the small details, but I don't think any guests will think twice about a table with no runner if you don't do one at all!
If you're really wanting to do the runners but don't want to spend a ton on them, I suggests keeping an eye out on Facebook Marketplace for brides selling their wedding decor after their wedding. You may can snatch some that you like for pretty cheap!

Have you looked at Oriental Trading? They have some cheaper options and might be able to match the colors you are looking for.

Unless the centerpieces obstruct conversations, most guests really do not pay attention to decor. Use whatever the party rental business in your area offers. Most couples do not host large parties post-wedding so purchasing items is not that economical.
