Wedding day timeline

Paige, on January 15, 2020 at 10:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
We are having a 4pm Saturday ceremony that will last about 30 minutes with a cocktail/reception to follow. We are not doing a first look. What should a day of timeline look like for the morning/getting ready? How long should I plan for pictures after the ceremony since we aren’t doing a first look? Thanks for your help

You should consult with your hair and/or makeup artists about timing for everyone that will be using their services. You shouldn’t use any more than an hour for photos between ceremony and reception, that’s what cocktail hour is for. I would recommend getting some photos out of the way before the ceremony. You and your bridal party, your future spouse and their party, you guys with your families, etc. Anything that doesn’t involve both of you in the same photo really.

My ceremony is at 5:30p and I am getting ready at the venue. I am arriving at 1 to start hair and makeup and my photographer will arrive at 4:00 to start prep shots.
