Wedding crafts done✔ 45 days to go!

Misty, on August 19, 2019 at 8:17 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 27
My FH and I made a plan last November after we got engaged.

Finances, to do lists... etc..

We are officially done with wedding crafts and DIYS as of yesterday and have officially paid for everything we could in advance. Leaving just minor to do's for the wedding.

A friend suggested we get it all done before 30 days out so we could just enjoy the process and the wedding vibes. I'm glad she did, glad we stuck to the to do list.

It's the best feeling. And I have to give it up for my Man. He literally had been involved and participating the entire time. Down to stuffing wedding party gift bags...

Curious how most brides are doing it.... getting it done early or prepping all the way up to the day of.

I'm just so excited I am pumped!

We're attempting to get everything that we can finished before November. I still have more DIY projects to complete than I'd like to admit, but we only have a few payments left then bridal party gifts and I think we're all finished!

I was always hoping to get my DIYs done ahead of time, but didn't mind the idea of finishing up in the weeks before the wedding. But as of now I'm actually on track to have (almost) everything done a month before our wedding, which will be really nice. I've been putting in a lot of time into the DIYs over the last 9 months or so, so it's weird to see it all come kind of come to an end!

Oh how I envy you. I’m only half done because FH is always tired lately, the stress is really getting to him, he doesn’t even want to look at our wedding stuff lol. I don’t want to either but I’m going to suck it up. I’ve only got 3 projects left.

We are working on having everything done early. My fh is super supportive. I wont Let anyone but myself do centerpieces and he is there with me every time I do one. My bridesmaids are super supportive as well. They came and helped stuff my complicated envelopes 2 months early. I have Been ordering everything and prepping diys over summer so i have little to do when I start teaching again.

Girl we were there a couple months back. Everything bad happening at once, plus stress, plus disagreements.... yuck. But we stopped working on wedding stuff, went to a counseling session. Reset. And refreshed.

You guys will turn a corner! Just take some time to build each other up!

We have a ways to go, but so far we are super ahead of schedule! We have booked all the major things and beginning to make payments on those, and I will begin our DIY crafts in a couple weeks. FH has been a trooper throughout the process so far.

Thank you! Yeah we’re not in a good place right now, wedding is next month and we’re just stressed. No fighting or anything, just lots of exhaustion and moodiness. We’re going to take a break and just go to the park, have a picnic and relax.
My projects aren’t elaborate or anything, I know we could knock them all out in like half a day but man I just don’t want to.

So far I’m ahead of schedule. I’m doing all different chairs as I like the vintage type of look it gives so my goal is to have 100 by December and I’m at like 60. They are pretty easy to find on offer up and craglist so it went a lot faster that I expected. Which is good because it will give me more time to make some of them a little cuter than they are. Need to get a few cushions for some, paint a few things, etc.

Everything was pretty much done and paid for at 30 days out. I've saved the last two weeks for honeymoon packing, beauty prepping, and trying to enjoy it!

We just tackled it one task at a time. Whenever we had a free weekend, we would schedule appointments. Whenever something was on sale, we got what we needed for the next project.
