It might help to be more specific. Do you have any specific colors that you're having trouble matching or choosing between? Do you want to stick with typical fall colors or are you open to anything?

Do you have any options you're tossing around? Feel free to share pictures! We went with colors we loved as opposed to "seasonal colors." Our fall wedding was brightly colored in blue, purple and turquoise. What kind of feeling do you want for your wedding?

Take a deep breath. You have a year and a half still, but the colors are the fun part.

Are you wanting typcal fall colors for your October wedding? Is there a color you like but can't pick a second color to go with it? Have you looked around on Pinterest? Are you wanting bold, bright, romantic, soft, rustic, etc?

We are doing peach and steel blue with ivory flowers for ours. We wanted something off the beaten path and I'm not a pink/purple person.

Do you want fall colors since you are getting married in the fall? What is the theme of your wedding? We are getting married this fall and our colors are plum purple, dark grey, and sunflower yellow

I knew we would use David's Bridal for the bridesmaid dresses. DB lets you buy 6 swatches for $5, and it is really helpful if you're not sure on a main color. I held them up in all sorts of light in my house, thought about how they would look on everyone, and got my MOH's opinion on colors. I love pink, but I wanted to pick a color that no one would look bad in or hate wearing! I ended up picking David's Bridal Sangria (a mix of burgundy/berry). The other accent colors fell into place from that - mostly ivory and silver.

For october I love the look of navy and rust because there are so many things you can do with it. Think fall colors so that you can get things in season. If you are wanting fresh flowers, a great option is to look what flowers will be "in season" then go from there!

Variations on navy & burgundy seem to be really common right now.

Our colors changed so many times that I gave up. The BMs are in Navy, FH is in Navy and tan, GMs are in Tan, we have rose gold, blush pink, gold, white. Honestly, it doesn't matter. pick the colors you love and go with it. You can also take your BMs into account. I wanted them all to wear pale pink but I realized how pasty white they are so I switched to Navy. And you're the only one that actually cares. I honestly can't remember a single color or centerpiece from any of the weddings I went to last year. Just do something cohesive for pictures and don't stress. This should be a day just for you and your FH so do what you want and don't worry about how things might "look" to those on the outside.

Black bridesmaid dresses are SO elegant! I personally feel like they're so classy. Black also looks great on everyone!

If you did choose to go with the black, you could always incorporate a secondary color in the bouquets. Burgundy could look great for a fall wedding!

What do you feel your wedding style is? Rustic, vintage, elegant, etc?

I feel my wedding is more on the elegant side which makes me think that the black would definitely be a great fit for it. I don't know if I would want to add another color with the black.... Maybe if I found the right color.

Also, I have been having trouble finding a photographer.... I want to do a husband and wife duo or male and female duo so the woman can stay with me and the man can stay with my fiance but I can't find any.... At least that are affordable. Any suggestions?

If you wanted to go with an elegant style/theme, perhaps white flowers with some greenery would be perfect? The white flowers would be striking against the black! Here is an example photo I got from Pinterest.
