Wedding colors

How’d you pick your wedding colors? I have plenty of time but I’m so indecisive. I’ve been spending an embarrassing amount of time on Pinterest browsing for a unique but classy combo. I’m having a summer wedding but I don’t care about sticking to “seasonal” colors.

We chose our colors based on our venue & theme. If you selected your venue already, what colors would work well?

It’s a new construction so everything is beige/neutral. So basically I have all creative freedom with colors and decor which is my conundrum lol. I’m also not having a theme. Ive really been drawn to a dusty blue palette lately but not sure a good complimentary color

That’d look good with mauve, sage, dusty rose, maybe a pale yellow?
try looking at dusty blue complimentary colors on google to see if anything pops out at you

We picked out colors based on life style and favorites.. both my fiance and I love the color red so we chose it... also I wasn't a virgin when we met so we incorporated IVORY in the mix... and everybody likes to have some type of shiny or bling affect so we picked Gray ( Silver)

With that we need up with Red..Ivory and Mercury as our final colors with a hint of silver.....

I have always loved pink, mint green and gold, so we started with those, then picked a few other colors to compliment them. We went to a paint store and looked through paint chip samples and that really helped a lot! I would try to find a good accent color and build around that.

It was kind of fluid for us. We originally thought orange & black bc of October, then my MOH, said what about eggplant - and purple is my fave color. Then it was going to be purple & orange, but I always love the rustic look. Then I made the decision to add burlap to my flowers - followed shortly after by crinkle ivory tablecloths & lavender napkins. Then I completely discarded the orange, and the wedding will be rustic, with plum, lavender & rose gold colors.

I didn't choose colors. My moh and I went to get a dress for her and she chose what she liked. I don't have 4 colors I'm trying to include in every aspect of my wedding.

We chose our favorite colors and added silver, purple, green and silver. We're getting married on the beach so only a few flowers at the ceremony and the reception is also outside so just small amount of decor since the ocean and the grass will be our background and "floor".. lol

My gown is pale, warm pink. So I started there. Then added rose, burgundy, ivory, and rose gold. It works and we are having a Victorian Christmas themed wedding.

There were two ways my wedding could go. Black and silver or multi colored. So I slammed them together. Our colors are purple, teal, raspberry, blue, black, silver/gray.

The yellow stood out to me when I saw it on pinterest! my only concern is that I want a lot of greenery as opposed to flowers and I wasn't sure if that would look odd with only a small amount of pale yellow flowers (in my bouquet, some decor, but not as a centerpiece).

Mine are burgundy and grey. I wanted to do a fall color (burgundy) and the color that goes well with burgundy is grey.

I’m having the same indecisive issues with colors. Mine is also a Summer wedding. We will be married by a lake so any color will be good. I keep going back and forth but right now I’m leaning toward a soft orange, dark coral and add white. We want more of a Hawaiian theme. Good luck because this color thing has me stressed. I thinking picking the venue and deciding on so many other things were easier then this. Hahaha

I just went with my favorites purples and lavenders but, since it's spring/summer I'm going to incorporate alot of other vivid colors.

We’re having a December wedding in a venue that will that will be decorated for the holidays. So we’re using shades of reds and greens with metallics.

I would say venue and time of the year will play heavily on your color scheme also if you have any “themes” that’ll inspire colors as well (boho, summer fun, Harry Potter, etc.) also when you imagine your wedding what are the colors you imagine? Your favorite colors? Hope that helps 😬

We are having a November wedding and I thought burgundy would be a good color. Also our venue has a lot of gold accents so it all goes great together
