Wedding colors

How’d you pick your wedding colors? I have plenty of time but I’m so indecisive. I’ve been spending an embarrassing amount of time on Pinterest browsing for a unique but classy combo. I’m having a summer wedding but I don’t care about sticking to “seasonal” colors.

I love rose gold so I definitely wanted this to be a color. I also looked at pictures on Pinterest and loved the way pink and navy looked together. Based on this, I decided on rose gold, pink, and navy. I’ve found several glittered things I’ve liked that are gold and silver so I decided to make them accent colors. We’re having rose gold, pink, and navy with accents of silver and gold!

Our main color is emerald green. This is how the conversation went to determine that color.

Setting: FH and I driving home from where he purposed so I was on cloud 9

Me: OMG we need to start planning everything! First thing is color!

FH: No blue. You get blue everything I want green. (green is his favorite color, blue is mine)

Me: Ok I can work with that. What kind of green?

FH: I don't care just green.

Me: My birthstone is emerald (May!) so how about emerald green.

    FH: That works

And that is how our color of emerald green came to be! Lol

Haha, me too. Have gone bk and forth for six months. What helped? Picking my top 4 or 5 ad having FH weigh in. Then we narrowed it down to favorite 2. I bought my dress this weekend and that made the final choice easier, as the colors fit with the theme of the dress.

We're getting married at a winery that has a very rustic feel. it will also be fall. My favorite color is blue, and my engagement ring is a sapphire. So we definitely wanted to incorporate that and the fall colors. I did a bunch of research on Pinterest and found fall/blue color combinations that I liked: dark navy/powder blue/gold/burgandy/powder pink (is that technically a color?)

Instead of driving myself crazy with ordering swatches online or going to David's Bridal or other bridal stores in person, I went to Home Depot to get paint swatches! the four-color palettes help with what to pick on the light/darker ends, and it's easier to mix/match colors. Plus, then I could just go back and get more cards to hand out to my bridal party and family for later!

My favorite color! FH actually pushed for it lol Plum, silver, and ivory as a neutral. 😊 Mine is a summer wedding and didn’t care about what colors are ‘appropriate’ as well

I chose my colors based on my theme and time of year. Im getting married in october and my theme is chic and rustic. The venue is very chic. Glass and mirrors everything and I will be adding my rustic feel to it. My colors are burgandy navy blue and gray.

You can incorporate nudes, blush, and pastel colors for your summer wedding if youd like.

My venue is an empty canvas. My FH picked the colors for our March wedding. We are doing ice blue silver and white. This is the hall we are getting married in. Just solid white new construction.

We're using our Hogwarts house colors - yellow and blue (navy) - just so happens it looks nice together.

FYI: color theory states that blue and orange are complementary colors, so if you do like a dusty blue, what about a coral or peach to go with it?
