What would you suggest as a wedding band for this engagement ring?
Originally when my now-fiancé and I looked at rings, we wanted round brilliant diamond and platinum setting with a pavé band. When he went to pick out a stone last month, he found this beautiful, unique Fire Cushion after looking at a few dozen rounds, and decided to go with the better stone; he also liked the classic solitaire rather than the pavé because the stone speaks for itself.
I'm in love with my engagement ring and I'm glad he made a solid decision based on the stone quality rather than shape. It's the most fiery, brilliant diamond I've ever seen, no matter what light. The cut is amazing and it has great color and clarity. Friends and family comment how great he did and I agree. However, since it's a different style than what either of us originally thought, the wedding bands I looked at previously don't fit the way I'd like.
Originally I thought I would wear a pavé engagement ring with a solitaire or mismatched prong set wedding band, but now that I have a solitaire engagement ring, I don't know where to start. Any thoughts?
Also, the styles don't have to match, I love mismatched or complementary bridal sets. I want something timeless but also unique.
