Wedding at Hotel Galvez

Hi ladies

I am in love with Hotel Galvez in Galveston, TX and want to have my wedding/reception there...however, they have changed management recently and it shows! The coordinator seemed unsure about everything I asked her. She quoted me different price minimums 3 times! Wanted to know if any other brides are planning a future wedding here and what has been your experience. They have excellent reviews but Im scared to leave a deposit! thanks!

I am I am I am.. My wedding will be there next May, When I started my planning, Jennifer was the woman I was working with. Now I am working with Angie, who was there before (and was Jennifer's boss) I was upset at first because I loved Jennifer, but Angie has been good at answering my questions. I am planning the wedding from Boston, so I have not met her yet, but she seems to know what she is talking about.
And, the Hotel is AMAZING!

It also depends on the room/day of the week/ etc what the mins are, so maybe that's why?

Isnt Hotel Galvez beautiful!!! Initially she told me the monthly minimums...then Sat vs Sun...and my 3rd quote was by room...I feel better now that you are not having problems...want to do it there next July so think I will put my deposit this week then!

This is a BEAUTIFUL venue. We have done several shoots in Galveston and have stayed at the Galvez, I wouldn't worry too much about the new management, the hotel itself has a good reputation and I am sure she will work into her new position soon, there is always an adjustment period with new staff. Be sure to get permission to shoot some of your engagement photos there as well and get some on the beach!!! They will look amazing.

Love the Galvez! I looked at 25 places in Boston and 4 in Galveston, and this is THE ONE for me
