Are you ditching or saying "I do" to wearing a veil?

I’ve finally decided Do! Lol after long consideration, I had worn a chapel length veil with a ball gown for my first wedding and discovered how cumbersome and unnecessary they can be. However I feel like a bride in one so I’m going to try a simple birdcage with my sheath dress.

I really am not into what a veil symbolizes so for me it's a hard core ditch! I'm no virgin Mary and not going to pretend to be on our big day haha!

I like veils, but I don't plan on wearing one. I am going to just wear a headband instead.

Still not 100% on this, but I think maybe leaning slightly more towards do than ditch. Time will tell.

I'm skipping the veil. I love the back of my dress and don't want anything to interfere with it. I'm doing a small hair comb instead

Never had any intention to wear one.

They actually stem from Biblical/ancient times when the woman was given as property to a man for political reasons (not romance) and her face hidden so he couldn't back out before the consummation if he didn't like her appearance.

Doing as things stand. Although it's a black and red birdcage.

I like the idea & photos I've seen, but I'm still on the fence. We're trying to cut unnecessary cost and I feel like this is one. However there are a lot of cheaper options than buying from a bridal store. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #stuck

I’m torn! My dress is tea length and a 50s vibe so I am thinking a fascinator with lace. But I have veil envy for the dramatic lacy gorgeousess!

Originally I bought one but change dress and don't think I will use one after all. Plus getting married on beach will be windy and won't be easy to control or ensure my hair isn't destroyed. Haha
