Walking Down The Aisle To A Love Song..?????

Danielle, on October 16, 2011 at 10:32 AM Posted in Planning 0 32

There are so many songs that I want to use at my wedding, but the thing is they are all love songs. I dont wanna have slow, love songs playing at the reception all night, so I'm thinking about incorporationg some of those songs into the ceremony.

I have a couple songs in mind that I wanna use as I walk down the aisle, but havent made up my mind yet.

Is anybody else doing this?

I'm walking down to "I can't wait" by runner runner. Our wedding is a lil offbeat and my FH picked out the songs for stuff. It makes it more special having him pick out things, he even picked out our first dance song!

I am walking down the aisle to a love song too. I am not sure which one yet. I think if we pick the song to walk down the aisle it will be more special to us also.

    Hey Danielle,

Yes, these days more and more couples are choosing contemporary love songs as their processionals. The right song can work very well. I would suggest that you choose something that has special meaning for you and is not just the hit of the moment. Think about words that are appropriate to the occasion. (A few years ago, lots of couples wanted "I Will Always Love You" which was actually a song about breaking up) You might also like to talk over your selection with your musician or DJ and officiant.

    Best wishes!

I'm walking down the aisle to I Promise You by the Backstreet Boys. It has always been a song I saw me using in my wedding.

I'm walking down to an instrumental but the bridal party is walking down to Alicia's version of "Never Felt this Way" lol. It's just the right length for everyone to get down the aisle! I've always been in love with the song and ever since we had our first talk about weddings/marriage, I named this.

I walked down the aisle to "I See the Light" from the Tangled soundtrack. Our DJ played many of the love songs we wanted during the preceremony as the guests were coming in and finding their seats and such. Worked out perfectly.

I too am torn as to what song to walk down the aisle to. I consider the selected song, my personal message to him. thinking about Inseparable by Natalie Cole. IDK.

My bridal party walked down to an acoustic guitar version of "You're My Best Friend" and I walked down to an acoustic guitar version of "Maybe I'm Amazed". It was awesome.

Yep. I've always pictured myself using a love song. It was originally going to a Savage Garden song, but I changed my mind when I heard Train's Marry Me and that's what we walked down the aisle to.

At first I really wanted to use You & Me by Lifehouse because the words just seemed so perfect, but FH found something that fits us better (and is less likely to have me bawling) I Want To Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler (from The Wedding Singer soundtrack).
