Venues with Open Vendor Policies in Orlando fl

Catherine, on August 7, 2019 at 3:00 PM Posted in Florida Planning 0 5

I'm having trouble finding venues that offer open vendor policy. I have a lot of vendors that are all more than qualified to work weddings and do so all the time but I'm having trouble finding some that allow it. Specifically the caterer. He's licensed, insured, and has his own team so why not? Someone help! Any recommendations would be helpful. (I know Crystal Ballroom properties, but please give me more options!)

I'm also in Orlando and found that because most of the wedding venues are either resorts or restaurants, very few have open vendor policies. My company hosts its holiday party at University Club in WP and I believe they are completely open. You could also check out the Oviedo Cultural Center or the Garden Villa in WP. Another option might be to hold it at a park or botanical garden that will allow you to set up a tent.

Hey Catherine! I’m sorry that you are finding it difficult to find a venue that will allow you to select all your own vendors.

If you have already selected your caterer, perhaps you could ask them where they have previously done weddings in the area. They will have the best idea about where will allow them to cater.

As the pp mentioned, you could also look into local parks and outdoor areas that wouldn’t have their own catering company.

What type of food will you be serving at your wedding?

    Hi Catherine!

I am also in Orlando. When I initially stated looking for venues I also wanted one with an open vendor policy. There are 3 crystal ballroom locations in our immediate area and all of them have open vendor policy. After further researching, I chose a venue (Lake Mary Events Center) that does not have an open vendor policy, but I was able to find a vendor that I am happy with out of their list.

But I will most definitely agree that it is difficult to find places that have a open vendor policy here. I wonder why?

    Good luck!
