Venue

Hey ladies! I’m having a 10/31/20 wedding and I can’t find a venue. I just feel kinda lost about this whole process. I’m on a super strict budget and I feel like everything I’ve seen is like not too far off from the budget and leaves no wiggle room for anything else dress and etc.

Try community centers or parks. They tend to be cheaper.

Not sure what your budget is, but you may have to consider something nontraditional. Also, not sure if you are looking for just a place to have reception or also your ceremony.

What are you looking for in a venue? And where about would you want it to be?

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Rae!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having difficulty finding a venue.

In the budget you created, did you take into consideration the size of your wedding? How many guests are you inviting? Could it be downsized in any way? The guest list is often the biggest impact on the venue cost.

Melle also had some great suggestions. Community center and park are super cost efficient venue options. Have you checked any locals ones out?

First of all, I LOVE a Halloween wedding!!! the best way to cut down on budget is guest list. idk if you're planning on a large wedding or no but food and drink are very pricey so the more you can cut the guest list the greater the wiggle room in the budget.

Like others have said peobably start with cutting down your guestlist. Also, make a list of your "must haves". Things not on thag list can be downgraded or deleted. It is your wedding. It doesn't have to include all the traditional things that people usually do.
