Venue will not return calls

I found the perfect venue for my wedding-- I have actually wanted to get married there since before I was engaged. However, I have called & called the wedding coordinator and have never heard back from her. I even emailed her twice. When I called the actual office, the guy that answered said I should just keep trying to contact the wedding coordinator because he can't help. I know that it is wedding season so she is probably busy, but, every other venue I have called has responded within 12 hours of the call. I first tried contacting her over a month ago. Is this a red flag not to do business with this venue, if I even hear back?

    I think it is a red flag... I wouldn't trust them to be my wedding venue knowing they won't return my calls.

    I've gotten this same thing from a venue we went to see today; it has been sooo hard to deal with them, and we aren't even under contract with them! I somehow don't see the relationship lasting.

    That is a big red flag. I would try to find another venue.

    I was having some issues with the event coordinator for our wedding. FH called above her, the General Manager, and complained. GM was not pleased with the coordinator's behavior and has now taken charge of planning our event and giving us everything we want and then some! Try going to someone above her, if your heart is really set on it don't let her being unprofessional or busy deter you!

    Yeah, i wouldn't give my money to people who can't find the professional courtesy to return a phone call or email. no one's that busy.

    If they are this unresponsive before you've even booked the place, I can't imagine they'll be any more responsive after they have your money.

    You could probably fight the system and work your way up, but it shouldn't be that difficult.
