Anyone have any venue suggestions that won't break the bank??? FH and I are 100% funding the wedding ourselves and I'm struggling to find a venue that won't break the bank. We're looking for a barn or rustic venue. Nothing fancy or formal.

How many guests are you inviting to the wedding?

Unfortunately, you do not have very many venues on the list that are in my area (over an hour drive for some of the closest ones), and the ones that are in my area are grossly overpriced (Geer Tree Farm) or require over 100 adults minimum...we'll be lucky if we hit 90 guests, total.

Hi the problem I had with many of the venues was they. charge you Per person for catering. Which I wasn’t need since I have a chef in my family/ what part of ct are you at ?

Not sure where you are in Connecticut however the venue we are using for our nuptials was pretty affordable and has the rustic look we were looking for. Search Maneeleys banquet and catering.

Check out Birchwood's at Oaklane in Woodbridge, Ct. I don't know if they have a minimum but they are affordable, rustic and really pretty!
