Venue pricing? Pp?

Ivette, on February 28, 2020 at 12:32 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 72
How much are you paying pp? I just want to know I’m getting a decent price. My wedding will be in the winter on a weekday for $144 pp everything included. I love the venue so much. We will have between 75-90 guests.

I think the price is hugely subjective. It really depends on what all you are getting for that price, whether your meal will be plated or buffet style, and what area you are getting married in. The location alone can drastically change the pricing.

Depends on what you're getting, your budget and what state you're in Smiley smile If everything is included that's not a bad price.

Maybe re-ask the question with your state/area in the title. Then people within your region will answer, and maybe it will give you a better idea of price ranges there 😀

Our venue wasn't all inclusive so we didn't pay per person. We are in Denver and got married in July, our venue fee was $11,000. That included tables & chairs for up to 200, 12 hours of venue use, bridal & groom's suite. I believe our food cost was $36 per person, dessert was around $10 per person, alcohol was $24 per person, and service was another $20 or so per person.

I’m sure California is in the higher end. But it makes me feel somewhat better on my price. It was originally $165 but I tried to negotiate so now we’re at $144 pp

That doesn’t seem too bad actually. I haven’t seen many places like that in NJ. I just don’t want to go broke planning this wedding 🤦‍♀️

Mine is different, we don't have a PP fee for the venue. We have generate X amount of revenue for the venue for the wedding. I think it's $5,000. But catering alone is $33 per person for dinner. Then we are doing a limited bar with spotted cow, bud light and Miller Light. Along with moscato and Merlot for the guests to enjoy that we will pay for. If they want any other type of wine, liquor or beer they will have to pay for that. We are looking at about 150 guests.

That minimum isn’t bad at all. I do feel $150 pp isn’t too bad considering it ends up being around the same. I guess I’m overthinking it.

Yeah it was on the more expensive side for venue but catering & bar & dessert were standard. I think overall our venue allowed for 30-40k weddings if the couple didn't add on things like videography, transportation, etc.

We are paying $71 pp for nearly everything on a Friday in November. Our venue charged $5 more for a Saturday, year round. The only things we have to get are DJ, photographer and flowers for the bridal party. We are in Connecticut. It all depends on your location and what’s offered!
