Things we didn’t think to ask at first, but realized later...


What does a normal set up look like?Do you have lighting to use?Rain day set up?Rooms for bride/groom to get readyWhat flowers are in bloom during the time of year we’re getting married?

My advice is to envision you in the space from set up to break down, through the night. That’s how our questions came up

These are some of the questions I’ve come up with while planning that I need to follow up with my venue on:
- Are there high chairs available?
- How does the sound work (for videographer)- Do they have decor for rent?
I also already asked specifically what pieces have sales tax applied and what pieces have the service charge applied.

It went really well! A good logistical start to how the day will go and what we can expect. Two hours and four pages of notes later, it's all starting to feel a little more real!

One more meeting with them in October, about a month before the big day. She told us to expect something very similar to what we did this time around, just much more in depth.
