Venue Finally Booked!

LOVETTE, on August 5, 2020 at 3:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 29

After touring different venues, I finally decided. I am getting more excited now that we actually have a date. So many things are running through my head, not sure where to start. Not sure if I will be doing anything too early, but don't want to procrastinate. WHAT SHOULD I BE FOCUSING ON NOW? HELPPPPPPPP.

I would say you can start booking other vendors. Catering and photography are some big ones. Some people do book a year out and a lot of brides are postponing into next year due to COVID.

Congratulations!! Next, I would recommend starting to look at vendors - photographer, DJ/band, videographer, florist, hair/makeup artists, etc.

Congratulations on booking the venue! It definitely makes everything seem more real (at least it did for me when we signed our venue contract!). Echoing PP, I'd definitely figure out who your important vendors are (they aren't always the same for everyone) and getting them booked. I knew photography was majorly important to me, so I wanted the largest chunk of budget to be placed there (outside catering, of course). My photographers were the first vendors I booked after securing our date. You still have a good amount of time, so don't feel like you're behind, but I'd definitely start looking for the vendors you want (especially since there will be so many rescheduled weddings for next year). Best of luck!

I would book those now and then of course at least 8-10 months out dress shopping if you need it customized or pending where it ships from. Find out decor you are allowed to do, think of favors or any little thing you can save for and buy when good deals.

I think I have a few ppl/companies in mind for those. I just didnt want to inquire too early. But I guess its better sooner than later.

Makes sense! Since so many weddings from 2020 were postponed to 2021, I would suggest that you start inquiring sooner than you normally would, just because vendors are going to be crazy busy with all the weddings next year. Better to book them sooner and get the ones you want.

Congratulations! I know it feels good to finally have your venue booked. Start looking around for other vendors like photography & a DJ or whatever you plan on having. I've seen many are booking up fast.

The biggest things to focus is best. And will take the longest. The dress, your venue, and start to get your list and write out everything and then cross it out as you go along

Once your date is booked, start with the vendor that’s most important to you. Work down the list based on priority. It’s definitely not too soon to lock in your favorite vendors!

Exciting!!! After we booked our venue (which includes in-house catering) we booked our event designer/florist and a media company that will provide photography, videography, DJ, and Photo Booth. Definitely focus on the other major vendors first and get them booked ASAP.

Congratulations!!! We are getting married August 2021 and everything is already done. Venue, catering, DJ, photo booth, photographer, officiant...outfits (ideas for party, but not ordered since so far away). I don't think you'll be too early, I just like to have things done early so all I have to do is tweak here and there and just enjoy the time.

Congrats! I would start looking for the things you’re responsible for & get those booked. Next year is going to be extremely busy since all those weddings were postponed.
