Veil, tiara, hair vine, hair comb, modern or traditional? What are you doing?

I thought I wouldn't wear a veil until she put one on me with my dream dress. It really made that the 'wow! This is the real deal!' Moment. Until then I was just trying on pretty dresses. After that moment I truly felt like a bride. Like this was really happening. And my hair and makeup looked not...

I thought I wouldn't wear a veil until she put one on me with my dream dress. It really made that the 'wow! This is the real deal!' Moment. Until then I was just trying on pretty dresses. After that moment I truly felt like a bride. Like this was really happening. And my hair and makeup looked not so great! So that will tell you how much it affects the look. What have you decided on for hair and accesories with your dress and is it modern or traditional? I've made a 2 tier white full fingertip length veil that I'm now beading with Swarovski crystals, Pearls and pearlescent seed beads. Although I am making a pearl and wire hair vine just for fun in case I change my mind or can somehow incorporate that too.

    Thanks so much for your kind words, Elizabeth!! I just didn’t want to look like I belonged on the top tier of the cake and due to being an older first time bride, I wanted sophistication and elegant.

    The blingy headpiece is separate from the veil, which will come off after the ceremony as I’m not sure if I will wear it for first dances.

    I get it lol well you dont look older thats for sure. However you look will be a dream I'm sure. So are you wearing the blingy part on it's own after the ceremony or taking it off with the veil? What does it look like on its own. I cant tell exactly what it is. Is it like half of a cap? I've just never seen anything like it. It's very unique and beautiful.

    Thanks again, Elizabeth!! Here are some pics of it from the David’s Bridal website. What’s nice about it is that it’s bendable and flexible which is nice as I can style the way I want to wear it. My ‘theme’ is a 1930’s dark gothic glam so after ceremony, I’m taking off the veil and may add a feather fascinator on one side but not sure yet.

    There's so much to learn about veils & hair accessories! I'm having my hair down with some teasing, a tiara, & a single layer cathedral length veil. Anything less than that really wouldn't go with my dress. At first, I thought I was going with much less of a veil but the dress would look incomplete. Sometimes the dress tells you what to do. I hope you find the veil of your dreams!

    I have not decided yet. However, I have been eyeing the cathedral length veils. I think they are just so elegant and glamorous. Not only this, but I have a picture of older relatives with theirs and their pictures are breathtaking as well. With that, I have been liking more traditional dresses as well. I am still in the early planning stages. However, I did try on a couple of dresses!

    Well everything is gorgeous! I have a very small face so wearing any headband like you are would make me look off lol. But it's really unique how you're wearing it and you have like this gorgeous face with great structure so you really make it work!

    I actually have that exact “scünci” clip! And I’m planning on possibly combining it with my veil. I’m also wearing a tiara/crown so I’m a tad bit worried my head is gunna be...too busy :/ I don’t know yet. But my dress will be done with alterations soon so I’ll try them all and see what “sticks” haha
