True! Between the stress of planning and coordinating to dealing with family from both sides it seems like eloping would be the perfect answer

TRUE- I was so stressed about the wedding that I thought about eloping. The only thing that kept us from doing it was the fact that we would loose a lot of money for cancellation fees.

Unfortunately both sides are very adamant about inviting the whole family... If only they were willing to pay for their opinions.

TRUE! I actually suggested it BEFORE we were even engaged but I also really love the idea of just celebrating with our favorite people and decided to give this wedding thing a try Smiley winking

After we started the wedding planning, we’ve jokingly said it. However, I’ve always said that if you’re gonna get married, you might as well throw a party.

True! That was or original plan!

We had plans to elope in Paris but this upsetting our family more than we thought it would which made us upset. We are now having a family and close friend wedding and couldn't be happier!

TRUE!!!!! And that's exactly what we're doing with immediate family and then still inviting friends and family to join us afterward to help celebrate so we'll see what happens.

Not Vegas, but I didn't want to do the big wedding. I only did it because DH and my mother were excited about a wedding.

False. Something so special should be shared. It just isn't for me.

SO. TRUE!! I always think to myself why I should even bother having a wedding! We should save the money and just take a long vacation or buy a house! But everyone in his family is so excited about a "different" wedding they can final attend because it is not at all traditional. So I feel like that is definitely a lot for the family rather than it is for us. After all, I will only have my parents at my wedding from my family, and a few friends. The majority is his giant family.
