Torn between two dresses!

Help! I can’t decide between two dresses. I will be 32 when my wedding happens on September 17th, 2022. My venue is an adorable flower farm in Colorado with a brand new barn and a big lawn where we will have long farm tables set out under string lights for a garden party/dinner party vibe for dinner. I’m only 4’11” and curvy, so most dresses make me look shorter and heavier than I actually am. I have found that fitted gowns with minimal seams at the waist/knees elongate me best. I’m also about 20 pounds heavier than I have ever been right now, so I anticipate losing this pandemic weight before the wedding! Both dresses have gorgeous trains - the photos don’t do them justice! A lot of the photos are actually screenshots from videos, so I apologize if the resolution isn’t the best.

THE DRESSESOption 1: Grace Loves Lace Clo gown. This dress is under budget, SO stretchy and comfy, minimal alterations needed, and there aren’t any major seams in front making me look short or heavy. Shown in nude or ivory lining (nude sample was the correct size, ivory was too small but I wanted to see it in white). I would order the ivory with the back piece. My fiancé would lose his mind over this dress because I never wear anything fitted, but I would need to lose the weight I want to lose to feel comfortable with the way my back & arms look in this dress. I also think this dress feels more like the venue (I’m envisioning some white cowgirl booties or block heels, and maybe a white leather jacket for my getaway!)
Option 2: Rish bridal Carolina gown. Over budget, would order it in ivory instead of champagne, and the skirt would have to be switched with a different skirt style to eliminate the V shaped seam in front so that it would just be one continuous piece of fabric in the same shape & the same lace, which is so much more flattering for my height. My mom also wants the V neckline to close a bit higher than my waist, so I’m worried about all the alterations on top of the higher price point. HOWEVER, this gown is more elegant and I think it is more flattering in the upper body if I don’t lose all the weight I want to lose. It also has some subtle sparkle throughout the dress that will look amazing under the string lights! My mom told me this dress feels more age-appropriate and she prefers the sparkle, so I really don’t know which one to choose.

Thank you!! I don’t really see anything too sexy about dress 1 - dress 2 will be just as fitted after alterations, it just has a thicker strap. I appreciate your feedback though as I do have some conservative family members that I don’t want to shock too much as I’m walking down the aisle!

You are beautiful in both. I’m a fan of sparkle but if you can add sparkle to any dress!!! You need to listen your your heart. One person told me since I was torn between 2 to think about if I came back and one of them was gone which would hurt more that it was gone… that’s your dress! Good luck!

I love the first one as well! I think the ivory makes it a bit more age appropriate (although I think both are fine!) and I absolutely LOVE the back piece!

If I were you I’d go with option one! It looks more comfortable, it’s cheaper and it it flatters your figure just the same. Also it gives you more room to be creative like what you did with the back piece (WHICH I LOVE).

Samantha, I loved the Farmette when we toured it! You are going to have such a beautiful wedding there! So many cute animals and the flower gardens are just lovely. I love the vintage furniture sets they just added, too. My fiancé and I are actually getting married at River Bend on September 4th of this year!

The very first photo in my opinion. I like the back better. That weird necklace thing on the back is too much imo. But it's your day! Just consider hair, veil and other accessories too and how they will look with your dress as well.

Now if you have gotten that feeling that you cant see yourself in no other dress then go with that one. I tried on 5 dresses but it was between my first and 4 dress. And teared up when I put it back on again and full look and I cried I knew that was the 1

Both dresses are beautiful but I also love the first dress.

Also I just wanted to say that is also my wedding date Smiley heart I'm picking my dress up tomorrow.

If you have some time wait a bit to look at the pictures and go back to them to see which one makes you more excited to have on Smiley smile

Dress one looks amazing and flattering as is! I couldn’t imagine you would need to lose much because it already looks sooo good. Also forget “age appropriate” it looks amazing and I don’t think it looks too young or anything.
