Torn between two dresses!

Help! I can’t decide between two dresses. I will be 32 when my wedding happens on September 17th, 2022. My venue is an adorable flower farm in Colorado with a brand new barn and a big lawn where we will have long farm tables set out under string lights for a garden party/dinner party vibe for dinner. I’m only 4’11” and curvy, so most dresses make me look shorter and heavier than I actually am. I have found that fitted gowns with minimal seams at the waist/knees elongate me best. I’m also about 20 pounds heavier than I have ever been right now, so I anticipate losing this pandemic weight before the wedding! Both dresses have gorgeous trains - the photos don’t do them justice! A lot of the photos are actually screenshots from videos, so I apologize if the resolution isn’t the best.

THE DRESSESOption 1: Grace Loves Lace Clo gown. This dress is under budget, SO stretchy and comfy, minimal alterations needed, and there aren’t any major seams in front making me look short or heavy. Shown in nude or ivory lining (nude sample was the correct size, ivory was too small but I wanted to see it in white). I would order the ivory with the back piece. My fiancé would lose his mind over this dress because I never wear anything fitted, but I would need to lose the weight I want to lose to feel comfortable with the way my back & arms look in this dress. I also think this dress feels more like the venue (I’m envisioning some white cowgirl booties or block heels, and maybe a white leather jacket for my getaway!)
Option 2: Rish bridal Carolina gown. Over budget, would order it in ivory instead of champagne, and the skirt would have to be switched with a different skirt style to eliminate the V shaped seam in front so that it would just be one continuous piece of fabric in the same shape & the same lace, which is so much more flattering for my height. My mom also wants the V neckline to close a bit higher than my waist, so I’m worried about all the alterations on top of the higher price point. HOWEVER, this gown is more elegant and I think it is more flattering in the upper body if I don’t lose all the weight I want to lose. It also has some subtle sparkle throughout the dress that will look amazing under the string lights! My mom told me this dress feels more age-appropriate and she prefers the sparkle, so I really don’t know which one to choose.

Oh my gosh! The first one is so hot and sexy! And you look great in it. The second one seems more appropriate for a wedding. The first one for your wedding night.

You look incredible in both! I don't think you need to lose any weight to look good in the first one.

Hi fellow Colorado bride! Number 1 looks perfect on you! I think it's elegant, a little boho, and such a unique lace pattern. I feel you with the petite sizing, because I'm 5'0 with a muscular butt and legs. I don't think you need to lose a pound! Sometimes wearing the right shapewear with the gown makes a huge difference in smoothing everything out. I also find that when I get a spray tan or have a little color on my shoulders, I feel much better about how my arms and back look : ) Are you getting married at the Lyons Farmette?

I think you are beautiful, and should shop for different styles that are more flattering.

Both are very pretty but the second one flatters your shape better, elongating your legs since the seam is at the waist instead of at the knees. Can’t go wrong though Smiley smile

1st one is much more flattering and fashionable. Not even a contest imo. It really just comes down to which one makes you feel more like a beautiful bride. Usually adding an all your accessories (veil, shoes, jewelry, etc. If u have it or anything similar) can help you decide.

Go with the one that makes you glow, light up and feel beautiful. I know which one that is but do you? That's all that matters. Ignore our opinions and your mother's opinion there is nothing age appropriate or inappropriate about either one. They are both beautiful and you look amazing in both dresses, especially your back and arms. I dont see any difference to the exposure of your "back and upper arms" area you referenced in first dress. They look the same in both dresses and they look great in both dresses, the microscopic difference you see in yourself that bothers you does not translate through any differently in the photos. I get we all want to lose this or that but if you walked down the aisle right now as is I think you would be stunning, which dress do you feel that way in...

They both look amazing on you and they gorgeous dresses. I would say 1 because you love it as is, dress two would require more work/money to get it where you love.

Thank you so much!! I hadn’t even thought about shapewear or a spray tan, so that’s really helpful and I could see how those little things could help me feel more confident Smiley smile And wow, you are spot on about our venue! Yes, it’s the Lyons Farmette! The more I think about it, the more I feel like dress 1 fits the venue best (dress 2 would be fabulous at River Bend, but we didn’t feel that site was worth the extra charges).
