Too soon to find a wedding dress?

Hi everyone! I may just be freaking out for no reason, but I wanted some advice.

My future mother-in-law and I were dress shopping for fun over the weekend. When we went to the second store to try dresses on, this dress on a mannequin caught my eye when I walked into the door. It was just so sparkly and pretty. I tried on other dresses then realized I had to try on the dress that caught my eye or I would regret it. I tried it on, and I couldn’t stop staring at it. When the veil was put on me, I almost cried. My future mother-in-law said that she never saw me smile so much in a dress. Apparently I lite up when I was in the dress. I liked how it made me feel, and it was the kind of style that I wanted, tulle. I could just imagine getting married in it. I decided to say yes to the dress. It was even 20% off. My wedding is June 12, 2021. Was it too soon to find a dress? I’m worried that it was too soon. I always start second guessing myself. I’m also worried of what people will think of it because it’s a little more plain. What do you all think? Please helppp.

Hey there wedding twin xD. I already have my dress and we’re getting married in the same day. If it’s what you really love and you couldn’t see yourself wearing anything else, go for it.

I don't think it's too early to get your dress. My wedding is February 29, 2020 (leap day), and I got my dress at the beginning of May.

I bought mine like 2 years early. If you love it you love it! I deleted all the pictures of it on my phone so that when I see it again it will be like the first time! I didnt wanna stare at it too long and make problems up in my head with a dress

I think it looks amazing! It’s the perfect combo of simple and glamorous. It doesn’t look structured enough to remove the straps though - what if you had them criss cross in the back instead so they hit at a more flattering part of your shoulder?

Its all based off your gut instincts in my opinion. I just bought mine a month ago for my august 2020 wedding. I wish I had started shopping earlier so I would have felt like I had more time to shop around without pushing if delivery and alterations would happen in time. My mother felt like I should go to many dresses salons and go back if I ended up not being able to find one I loved more then the others I loved. Not to get caught up in that feeling. She felt I could get the feeling in many dresses. Probably, but I had to go with my gut. My second shop I finally found one that I felt pretty in, made me smile ear to ear and was in my budget. Being able to get the stress of finding my dress out of the way was more important to me then trying in 20-30 more dresses hoping to find a better deal (and for my ball gown style i wanted, I wasnt going to) if you feel like this is the right dress, go with it and enjoy it. Don't over think it. Its like house shopping (again, in my opinion) you found a house you like, you make an offer, you stop shopping around. If you love it and felt good in it, go with it, rather then find a million reasons why you should have waited.

If you find one you love get it and never look back! It’s never too soon as long as you store it properly. I bought my dress this past August and my wedding isn’t until November 21, 2020. Just another thing checked off the to do list!

Not too soon! My wedding is March 2021 and I got my dress last month. When you know, you know. Just don’t look at dresses anymore or you may get buyer’s remorse or feel dress envy. Just enjoy the dress you have and remember how you felt in it!

The day after we looked at engagement rings, I saw a dress in a window of a bridal shop and fell in love. 8 months later we got engaged. They still had that dress, but only had one and couldn’t order more. I went dress shopping a week after we got engaged so that I could try that dress on I had fell in love with months prior. I tried on 6ish other dresses, but bought that one I fell in love with in the very beginning. We have planned nothing for our wedding...but I’ve got the dress! Point is, when you know, you know, and you gotta just go for it. Don’t second guess it! It looks beautiful on you! There will always be other pretty dresses that would flatter you, but it seems like you found THE ONE!

I did order my 👗in May 2018. However, I was not going to change my 🧠.

Also, I ordered it in the largest size that it came in.
It’s easier to take it in versus letting it out.
In addition, 👗+ Alterations, and Dry Cleaning, it still was under 💲4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣⏺0️⃣0️⃣.

Ok ok :-). I got you girl!! I saw a picture online looking for simple beautiful yet elegant dresses and found one. Then I went to David bridal and asked the lady to help me find a dress like it. She basically found one almost identical. It was exactly what I wanted and I will never look back. Be happy that you found the one :-). Now you can work on accomplishing other task !!

Girl! Going through the same thing right now! My wedding is July 24, 2021 and I say yes to mine today! My biggest fear was that I would buy it and try it on when it comes in and hate it. So I tried it on a total of 3 times and every time I just got more beautiful and I kept falling more and more in love with it! If you felt absolutely gorgeous in it and had that gut feeling saying it was the one I say you’re okay! Don’t second guess it! Would love to see how beautiful it is if you have pictures! 😍
