When I️ was considering this here are things I kept in mind:
    1. Is the backyard big enough for the amount of people in attendance?
    2. Do I️ have to rent porta potties or will there be an indoor space that can sustain the ratio of guests to toilets?3. Do we have a “freak weather” emergency option for indoor space we can use?4. How much do vendors in my area charge to rent a tent, tables and chairs?5. Bugs? Mosquitoes? (I’m allergic to the blood suckers so in my wedding day that wouldn’t be cute) How do we avoid them? 6. Am I️ spending more money than I️ would if I️ did It indoors? 7. Neighbors?8. Dance floor?
Just some things I️ thought about.

Where are people going to park? I played violin at a wedding where neighbors were calling the cops because they didn’t want cars on their property and people had to leave the wedding and scramble to find a nicer neighbor who was ok with it. It was a mess.

My house is directly next to an accountants office. My yard connects to their parking lot and they're closed on the weekend. I asked the owner if we could park cars there and he said yes!

Bathrooms. Bugs. Parking. Uneven ground/swampy muddy grass.

Are you getting it catered or doing more of a picnic style ? If doing it yourself I'd look to pay someone like maybe family friends that wouldn't be invited to help serve food so your family isn't stuck doing host duties.
