Timeline Questions!

NextChapterReady, on August 27, 2019 at 10:53 AM Posted in Planning 1 5

So I've got to provide my timeline to all of my vendors and I'm wondering if the timing for photography is really enough? I don't want to skimp on the photos, but I feel like the timeline is tight enough as is! Also if you have any other thoughts I would love to take them into consideration. (We do have a Catholic gap and we will have that, so I know that can be a pet peeve of some people, but just the way it is for our wedding! I've provided a lobby with refreshments and restrooms for guests if they do choose to go straight to the venue and wait the hour and half there until the doors open to cocktail hour.)

Looks like a pretty solid timeline to me, I think you allotted plenty of time for pictures.

I would allot more but I think if you can focus on getting the shots you want in that time it's fine. I allotted 1 hour but it was hectic aha so I felt like it went by too fast

Your timeline looks great!! Have you got your shot list together of all the photos you want your photographer to capture?

I have been second shooter for many weddings with my sister's photography business, and I think you have a pretty solid timeline. The only thing I would consider is the time you have allotted for pictures inside the church. I'm assuming this is when you plan on getting family formals. If this is the case, this is sometimes the part that takes more time than the bride expected, because people tend to wander off and can be hard to keep focused. I recommend assigning someone to be in charge of keeping family together and organized (if your photographer has a second shooter, this is often what they help with during this time).
