I'm trying to get mine done within a month. I think 3 months is reasonable. Traditional etiquette says 1 year, but I think that's way too long!

2 weeks sounds reasonable to me. That's after the honeymoon.

We're trying to keep it within 2-3 weeks so that the gift giver knows we received their gift! Also easier to tackle the thank yous in smaller batches Smiley smile

My mom told me within 6 months for the wedding gifts, but I'm going to have them done sooner than that I think.

I've been trying to write them as they come in. (Most of my guests are out of state, so they've just been shipped to my house). After the wedding I would say 4-6 weeks.

I've always heard two weeks if the gift comes before the wedding and a month after the wedding for gifts that are given at the reception.

3 months absolute max for gifts received at the wedding; for gifts received before the wedding, 2 weeks.

I think within a month. I've heard 3 months is fine, but I think that's approaching rude. Just my opinion. I got mine out within 2-3 weeks. DH has been working on his and we're 1.5 months in now and I'm freaking a bit. I left the stack of notes on the kitchen table yesterday morning as a hint. It worked. Smiley winking

    IT IS NOT 1 YEAR.

People have 1 year from your wedding date to send a gift, you should immediately send a thank you. As quickly as humanly possible. People always get confused and think they have a year to right thank yous and those people are rude (not as rude as the people who never write them but STILL)

We wrote them day of for all gifts received before the wedding, we are doing 10 a day (5 each ) for those we got the days before the wedding and on the wedding.
