Those of you who have worn the bride zip up hoodie

Laura, on October 17, 2013 at 1:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 25

So I was thinking about ordering a bride zip up hoodie to wear the morning of the wedding. I don't want to do the robes, because we are getting ready at the hotel, but I am not getting into my dress until we get to the ceremony venue.

I am worried about the hood getting in the way of the stylist doing my hair. Has anyone had an issue with that? Thanks!

BUMP because I'm really curious if this could be a potential issue.

I didn't, but I think you have a valid concern! What about maybe getting an off-the-shoulder type sweatshirt?

I didn't have a problem with the one I wore. It was very loose fitting. However, that said, I also had a tank top underneath, and got hot half-way through my hair styling appointment so I took the hoodie off.

Also, I had a full up-do. If your hair is going to be down, it may be more of an issue...

Thanks ladies. I may have to see what else I can find. I'm having an updo, too, but it is low, and I have a lot of hair haha.

I am so watching this post. My sister got me a zip up hoodie and a tank. I didn't really think about this, now I am worried. Also, with the tank top...is that too going to be an issue?

I have one and ordered them for my girls as well b/c we're in the same situation. We'll be at a resort and I'm not about to go walk around in a robe. haha

I think with a zip up hoodie it wouldn't be an issue, I think if you decided to do a pull over hoodie it would be an issue but the zip up one u should just be able to unzip and take off carefully.

Thanks JennaPie. That would be awesome.

April- It's not the getting the hoodie on and off part that I am worried about, it's whether or not the hood on the sweatshirt would get in the stylist's way while she is doing my hair.

Waiting to hear back. Worst case scenario, you tuck the hood in, right?

I guess that would make sense to tuck it in. I know I really don't NEED one of those hoodies, but they are just so darn cute! hahaha

Ok, talked to my MOH/hairstylist. He said it wouldn't be a problem at all, neither for updos nor down/curls.

Target has one for like 20 bucks that I was looking at, too.

I got mine from Target - Actually, I should say my MOH got mine from Target. My best friend wore it last weekend for her wedding too, and she didn't have a problem either.

You could always take it off for your hair-styling if it does become a problem.

If you're really concerned, you could wear a hoodie to your trial as well, just to make yourself feel better!
