Things to never do at a wedding...

Emily, on May 16, 2020 at 12:04 AM Posted in Planning 0 33
I’m seeing all these articles “things you should never do” or “why you shouldn’t.” So silly! What are some things you’ll be implementing into your wedding others say you shouldn’t, but that you love! Let’s spread some “you should absolutely do!” Opposed to all the negative! After all it’s no ones day but your own 💜

Where have you seen these, I would love to read them! Or you can just post them on here. I laugh when people tell me what I shouldn't/should do at my wedding!

    1. You should absolutely eat your cake! So many people tell me they didn't get to eat their cake... Yeah that's a no for me!

Crazy! I’m not shelling out thousands to not enjoy!

This has been my favorite! So ridiculous! I would never write an article like this. As a planner, I want to build my brides up and make sure they have the best day with everything they possibly want! Not spit in their face, essentially. I love signature cocktails, I think they’re fun and who the heck cares what the meaning is!

This was the most obnoxious article I have ever read. To question what your client wants is ridiculous and immature. Whoever wrote this needs help. LOL

We had his and hers signature drinks plus a full, premium open bar. We got so many compliments on our signature drinks and people barely ordered anything else, even though they could have anything! I remember reading some of those articles, and they're pretty dumb. Outside of completely rude behaviors, do whatever you want!

My exact thoughts. Made me almost cry for her brides. I love love love my brides and would do anything. Which I know she’s saying she’s do it anyways, but why do something if your not going to do it wholeheartedly.

This post made me laugh! I also saw the list on Pinterest and thought: yep, we're doing that and yep we're doing that...I think this year, especially, everyone has a right to do whatever they have ever envisioned whether passe, unique, tacky, etc.

Absolutely! Do what makes you happy, the people there are there for you because they love you, not what you’re serving or your decorations.

So, traditionally, the groom was not supposed to carry a sword on his wedding day, and the best man/groomsmen were there to defend him.

We did not have swords at the *ceremony*.... but we both fought our guests - with swords - at the reception.
