The first dance! Are you winging it, practicing, or taking lessons?

All eyes will be on you and your dance moves Smiley shame , so what's your plan? Are you taking lessons or choreographing the first dance? Or are you keeping it short and sweet?

I think we are just going to practice beforehand! Choreographers get super pricey, super fast! We're doing a calm song, so hopefully it won't be too hard!

We'll just practice! No fancy moves - just a simple, slow first dance. Choreographed dances make us cringe.

We are going to dance like we dance at any event....I am not into anything choreographed or staged.

We're not doing any fancy at all and will definitely be keeping it short and sweet. I'm not big on slow dancing and my fiance HATES dancing and being in front of people... so with that being said I think we'll do our entrance followed by a quick "first dance" (2 minutes maybe??) and sit down for dinner haha

We are taking lessons. Doing the rock and sway is our least favorite dance move.

I highly reccomend taking dance lessons if you are on the fence about it. I thought I knew everything about my FH until we started dancing.

We're just doing a fast slow dance together then the rest my FH will probably stay away from the dance floor. He really doesn't like to dance lol.

We’re just going to casually practice here and there. We’re having a short and slow first dance song so we’re not to worried about it

I know how to ballroom dance but FH definitely doesn't...but surprisingly he liked the idea of choreographing so I'm going to try and teach him a simple 2 step and throw in some spins and dips. Hopefully he's a good student!

We are taking lessons to learn who to dance to our song so we don't look like an 8th grade dance.

I love to dance, but my FH hates it unless he's had a few drinks...so we will probably just wing it, ha ha.

I really want to choreograph ours! We'll see what happens though. FH and I are learning some basic dances through YouTube and taking inspiration from dances we've seen.

We’ve attempted to practice in the kitchen a few times, but no real lessons. I’m a dance teacher and lifelong dancer (with no ballroom or partner experience) so everyone expects me to be good. But what am I going to do - tap dance? Lol I’m so nervous

We are taking lessons and we are both pretty excited about it. There’s a dance studio in our town that offers private lesson specifically for weddings. We will go in and play them our song and they will tell us what dance will go best and teach it to us!

My DH hates being the center of attention and asked me early on if we could just do "middle school" slow dance swaying so he could just focus on not crapping his pants (jokingly obviously). He knew if we had anything choreographed his brain would just blank out and he's just be a deer in the headlights. We chose an intentionally short song so he wouldn't have to be nervous for too long and he kept talking to me during it.

It may not have been entertaining or impressive but it was more comfortable for him.

We're going to practice, and maybe take a few lessons! Definitely not a choreographed dance though.

We're very fortunate- my future brother-in-law is a ballroom dance instructor so he's going to choreograph/teach us our first dance as a wedding gift! If only we could agree on a song lol
