I know! I'm happy she is my sister goth in her black gown. Actually I loved everything about her wedding. So her and so small and intimate. #jelly

@Jo - its a great point and I bring it up all the time!!! It's a super new thing and not exactly "traditional" since its a cultural thing in mostly western anglicized cultures.

Also because having a white gown you only wore once was a total status symbol since you had to keep it so clean!

All of these black dresses are amazing. If you feel comfortable in black, wear black!

I'll be wearing royal blue. It is not at all goth, but it is untraditional.

I never thought I'd like or want a white dress, but I found an ivory one I love. Good luck finding the perfect dress for you.

I only have my sneak peak photos back, but I wore black. White just doesn't suit me. I got 99% positive feedback, and i don't regret it at all. ETA: Thanks for the shout out @JoRocka!

@Emily, thank you. I bought it online from edressit.com . It was a little unnerving because the sizing was in UK, not US, and it shipped from China, but in the end it was perfect.

I fall into a more alternative than got category but I too wanted a black dress. Alas, FH made that his one and only request for my dress not to be black. So here I am with a white dress and my rebellious ribbon. I am having a corset back added with red laces as well.
