Thank you to whomever said to number rsvps!

Tina, on February 10, 2020 at 1:56 PM Posted in Planning 1 21

This is what I got today with no return address on the envelope. Luckily I took the advice on here to put a small number on the back of each rsvp. Looked up number 19 and now I know who replied! Also, do people no longer write little notes when they reply no? I always wrote at least a “congratulations!” Kids these days. Lol

I, so far, have only received 2 with no names on the lines (knock on wood). But I knew who they were right away because the first one was handed to me personally by my aunt, and the second is the only invitees with 6 people in their family, so I knew it was my FSIL and fam.

But now that we have around 34 out of 75 people saying they're attending, we haven't had any RSVPs come in the mail in like a week or so. It's freaking me out a little, but I know there are people who have to plan flights and accommodations before they say yes, so I'm okay for now. Plus, our RSVP date is April 8th, so there's plenty of time.

I told my FH that I wanted to number the RSVP's and he looked at me like I was crazy!..This is a prime example for me to show him why it IS a good idea!

I wish I did that when I got married because I definitely had some RSVPs come back with no name

We had a few respond with no "sorry we can't make it" or something like that. Just a check mark in the "no" box. But most people wrote on the back of our RSVP card (it was blank for that reason). We numbered ours but everyone wrote their names so we didn't have to use them.

I did not offer the advice but I am glad I did when I got married. Total lifesaver! I would have gone with the beef by the way.

Although is the walleye breaded? I love fish but not breaded, unless it is lightly breaded. Brazilian Beef sounds yummy and I have no idea what it is!!!! Enjoy your wedding!!! And as a two time bride, be prepared around February 22 to be making calls, emails and texts to people who don't RSVP. For some reason people who can't come don't RSVP - they think they are hurting your feelings. Unasked for advice: When (and not if) people waffle, like "Gee we are just not sure yet if we can attend" say: "Well we have to take that as a no as we need the final number tomorrow."

    Best wishes!

Not breaded! Lol second time bride here too but I don’t even remember getting rsvps the first time around. It’s all a blurry memory. I’m just ready to have final numbers so I can finish all my diy projects!

We invited a lot of single male cousins, I don’t think they really can be bothered.

Yeah we had a ton of single guys just mark "no" and nothing else. Honestly I was just happy they RSVPed and I didn't have to call them hahahaha

What a genius idea!!! This is so clever.

Funny story....in addition to receiving tons of blank RSVP cards, one of my best friends got 3 RSVP cards where people changed the number of seats reserved (from 1 to 2) and wrote in the guest they wanted to bring with them!!! It was hysterical but left her in such an uncomfortable position. Her advice to me was to take the extra time to write the guests names on the cards with the # of seats reserved. That way if it needs to be edited, all the guest is doing is crossing out a name or making the number smaller
