Thank you gift for the notary

C & K, on March 28, 2015 at 9:05 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

My brother's girlfriend works for a bank. Her boss is a notary and has offered to officiate our wedding for free. FH and I want to give her a thank you gift of some sort, but don't have any ideas. We don't really know her well enough to even get a sense of what she might like. Any suggestions, please?

For a gift, I would give her a check for around the amount it would have cost you for an officiant.

I agree on a check or a VISA/Mastercard gift card for an amount between $100 and $200 (our officiant is going to cost $350)

That's what I was thinking, along with a gift card to the salon/spa I work at. I asked her how much she charges, but she offered to do it at no charge because she loves my brother's girlfriend. I didn't really know how much a notary or Justice of the peace charges, so i had no idea how much to give. Thanks, ladies!
