Megan, on March 28, 2019 at 10:44 AM Posted in Planning 0 29

Where did you buy thank you cards and how much did you pay? I guess I wasn't anticipating spending another $100+ on thank you cards...ahhh I feel like I'm bleeding money lol

I thought about getting some from Vistaprint that matched my invites if I can catch a 50% off sale soon. If not, probably somewhere like Walmart just something cheap. I assume most people will read them and throw them away, so not looking for anything fancy. Maybe Hobby Lobby if they put their wedding stuff on sale again soon.

I second Future MrsD. I got my invitations at Papyrus and they happened to have some on clearance. I bought them only for the bridal shower because it was more than I wanted to spend. I think they were like 10 for 3 bucks. You don't need to get thank you cards that match your invitation set or have a picture of you on it!

Oh I didn't even think of Hobby Lobby, thanks! They have a pack of $50 for $10 (not on sale) so hopefully next week their wedding stuff will be 50%! If not, I'll just take FH and make him use his own 40% coupon for the 2nd pack (I need 100) lol

Amazon may also be a choice. They aren't priced too bad (to me).

I got mine on Amazon, as long as you aren't looking for personalized ones, you should be able to find tons of cheaper options at regular stores like Amazon, Target, or craft stores.

We got our invites from anns bridal bargains and it was a really good deal. I believe they have matching thank you cards, so that's probably what we'll do!

This wasn't exactly a splurge item, but I did want elegant looking blank cards I could hand write inside. I got 2 types: 40 gold glitter poke-a-dot and 40 gold glitter zigzag ones that are both lettered with "thank you". 80 for $14 Hallmark at walmart.

Got some really pretty ones from amazon with envelopes that were navy and gold. For a set of 100 I only spent about 18 bucks.

We got our thank you cards from Vistaprint to match our invites. Waited for a sale and got 40 for $16. Little more pricey than generic ones, but I loved our invites and I loved the coordinating thank yous. We did run out though, and went with generic ones from Michael's that cost maybe $10 for 100 or so.

We got ours at Hobby Lobby, they were $10 for a pack of 50, but when I went it was 50% off so we got 100 for $10. Of course sending thank you cards is very important, but I feel like the fanciness of the thank you cards themselves is not important at all..... 99% of people will read them, appreciate what you wrote and that you sent one, and then throw it away. I wouldn't spend anymore than this!

Dollar tree has simple thank you cards in 6 or 8 packs. The quality is actually pretty good considering how cheap they are. We used them for engagement party thank you's and keep some at home for birthday/misc. gift thank you's.

Honestly I am probably going to hit up walmart or something for generic cards. I don't know that i'll have the energy or want to customize thank yous with a wedding pic on it like some people do!
