Thank you cards for bachelorette party gifts

Natalie, on August 5, 2015 at 2:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Hi. I made little parting favors with a shot glass/lipstick wih a thank you tag for all the gals that came to my Bach party. Should I still send thank you cards?

I don't think it's necessary. I'm pretty sure my BMs are sick of TY notes. I already gave them one for engagement gifts, one for bridal shower gift (before the shower), and other for co-hosting the shower. I don't plan on doing it for the bachelorette party too.

I did give them thank you notes because they took a whole weekend of their time for me, they paid for everything over the weekend, and most of them weren't able to attend the bridal shower. They also gave me gifts. They were more than deserving of thank yous! It didn't take that long to write them out, and being across the country from most of them, I actually enjoyed expressing my appreciation for them.

Seriously, it's minimal effort and if they paid for everything and gave you gifts, that's worth more than the mother of the groom's friend giving me a gift card.

Yeah just wondering if I should do both. I already gave them the parting favors at the bach party. I'm inclined to agree with Elyse.

Wait, I missed the part about them giving you gifts. If you got gifts, then I would send a thank you. Normally in my circle, it's just a night out, so we don't do gifts or TY cards.

That was nice of you getting them a little gifty. I don't think the thank you cards are necessary but I bet people would appreciate the thought.

I plan on doing it because I'm having a shower that weekend since I live away from everyone. It's just a card but it means a lot if they spent a lot of time and money.
