Hi! We are in the process of booking our honeymoon for August 2013 and are planning to go to Tanzania for safari and Zanzibar for island bliss. Anyone been before and have good recommendations of places to stay (esp in Zanzibar?)??

Thanks!!!!

I've been to Tanzania for work so I don't have a good rec on a place to stay.

We went on safari to Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire. Didn't get to the Serengeti. Ngorongoro crater was amazing and is a 'don't miss.' Get a good camera and a really good zoom lens.

    Hi!

Africa is amazing! That is truly a honeymoon and the trip of a lifetime.... Tanzania is a classic safari destination, like seeing National Geographic magazine pictures come to life. I'd even take some photography classes?

There are great safari outfitters that have been working for generations to protect wildlife and take care of the people who work for them and their families. Zanzibar is a hidden gem, a beach destination with fascinating history in the slave trade, with Spice Island and Stone Town, which looks like it is right out of Arabian nights. Kilindi Zanzibar has eastern-style domed villas, right on the beach, but I also like Blue Bay Beach Resort, Breezes Beach Club, Serena Inn and Ras Nungwi. It is a great place to end a trip to East Africa!

This is an amazing trip!!!! I wish I would have done Zanzibar when I was there. I had to get rid of our first guide and we were so lucky to get Linus. maclinta@yahoo.com

That is is email. If you go direct through his company you can save money. All trips back to Africa we will use him. I have stayed in touch for 2 years. He's amazing and trust worthy and can give you great suggestions. Not sure what month you are going...we went in June for te great migration.

    Have a great trip

    Kryss
