Is it weird that I want to keep our honeymoon plans a secret until we go? I feel like my family and friends know so much about our wedding as it is and I just want to keep something special between me my fiancé. Obviously people would find out after we got back, but I just wanted it to be our little secret for now. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

You’re entitled to share as much or as little of your wedding plans with others as you two see fit. If you want to keep your honeymoon plans a secret, then do it.

We didn’t tell anyone our plans. Well, I said we were going on a cruise, but that’s it. We didn’t want to risk anyone arranging surprises for us! I don’t think anyone is entitled to your honeymoon plans.

There are people out there who would show up or intrude in some way, but I personally didn't see it as a big deal. We let family know we arrived safely but they knew we were not going to be in touch after that unless there was some kind of an emergency. Obviously, it's your call.
