How much time did you take off before the wedding? Was it long enough? Do you wish you had taken more time off?

My wedding is a Friday, but I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off. I probably will regret it, but. All I can do haha. Our rehearsal is that Wednesday so I'll have a full day in between to get stuff done.

I only took one day off before the wedding and it was more than enough time for me to get everything ready.

I am planning on taking about 2.5 weeks , but I have a lot of overtime and have two weeks in the summer where I basically work for 18 hours straight. FH will probably only take Thursday and Friday before off. We are also leaving for our honeymoon Sunday (the day after the wedding).

I have a TON of down time while at work so I'll just be taking the Friday off before the wedding. Our honeymoon isn't for another week after the wedding so we're just going to take that week off too!

We got married on a Saturday, and I just took Friday off. I then had the whole next week off for the honeymoon, and then two weeks off for winter break (I work in a school). We didn't have DIYs or anything, so Friday was enough. I got my nails done with my mom and MIL, checked into the hotel, went to the rehearsal and RD, and hung out with my family.

I took the entire week off and the Monday after. I wish I would have taken less in the beginning and more after the fact. i.e taken off Tuesday thru Tuesday

I'm taking two weeks off for the honeymoon, so I am not taking off any time before my wedding that week. My wedding is on a Friday and I only work Tues-Thurs as it is. So I decided to just go to work even the day before my wedding, lol.

Edit: I don't have people coming in out of town or anything, so I don't really have special guests to attend to at home. Although it'll still be crazy busy. Otherwise I probably would've taken the week of my wedding off.

I'm getting married on a Saturday the day before Easter. I am only taking Friday before my wedding off as I work for a cardiologist and it's hard for me to take time off. I will return to work the Monday after my wedding and working Monday - thurs but I will be taking off Friday April 1 and returning Tuesday April 12. We will be on a 10 day cruise

I work retail, but have a very flexible schedule. I have put in 32 hours covering Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and I have my request for each week's two days off to cover Weds/Thurs and Tues/Weds, so I should have a total of 8 days off in a row. That gives a short trip post wedding before heading back to work. Our official honeymoon will be in November following the wedding, and it will be two weeks.

Wow, I was originally just going to take Friday off for my Sunday wedding, but all of you saying 1-2 weeks are worrying me. I've been thinking of taking Thursday and Friday. I don't have a ton of DIY, but I do have some. I'm also taking a week off after for the honeymoon though, so I'm worried about taking too much off beforehand.

Saturday wedding, took off Thursday and Friday. Thursday we finished all of the remaining tasks (picked up license, dress, any remaining DIY stuff), Friday I slept in, went to the salon for brows/nails/blow out, then we had our rehearsal dinner. Felt like a good amount of time to me. Didn't take any time off after which was the biggest mistake of my life (soooo tired lol).

I'm only taking off Friday and Monday. Its hard for me to take off in general bc I am a temporary employee only 1 years here I am not entitled to PTO (I am inviting my boss to my wedding so hopefully that helps), so getting days off that are paid are far and few between. I will leave thursday night immediately after getting off work to drive to my wedding city 5 hours away. This is why we have a full out planner bc there is no way I could do it all from a distance. Friday we'll have the RD. Saturday the wedding. Sunday I am considering a breakfast with my family. Our honeymoon won't be until another two weeks as I will start my new job/permanent job likely on Sept 6 (day after labor day) so our honeymoon will be sometime between Aug 20th & Sept 3.

WE haven't decided on a honeymoon, my current plan is to work half days tues/wed, and take thurs/fri off and possibly the following Monday, right now our honeymoon is looking like Mid August (which will also be our 12th dating anniversary)

I'm taking three days off prior to the big day, going back to work on Monday for a like a week or two, then off on our honeymoon for a couple weeks.
