Well, future pastor. When I met my fh, he was totally opposite of what he's like now. He was a crazy partier and he was always drinking and going out and spending money everywhere to show off. He was always a great guy, but he was nutso! Lol. I loved him for who he was, but when we started getting closer, I invited him to youth group (sounds so childish, but we weren't old enough to be kicked out yet. lol) and he went. It didn't take much of him coming to church with me for him to get saved and he's turned into a whole different person. He reads his Bible all the time, he's taking classes at a Bible college! and has convinced me to go too. He recently started working with the youth group, and the youth pastor told him that he's gonna give him a week every month to teach. So he's already teaching the kids! He went on a missions trip last summer, (which was when he got word from God to

@Artisticveil, I think you'll enjoy it. I mean FH has been grooming me for about 3 years and I've read some other books but Lisa McKay just has some kind of way of connecting. I think because she's so candid and transparent. I really enjoy her blog and if you sign up for her newsletter, she sends out emails once or twice a week. I haven't been able to keep up with the book discussion but once this wedding is behind me, I intend to go back and see what everyone had to say.

@FutureMrsG, yall ladies are just trying to make me cry today. Wow!

@pgmayoep thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely check it out!

@ladylee I'll sign up for the Newsletter - I have a feeling I'mm going to need all the help I can get. He will graduate in December and then who knows where we will be. Good thing I can work anywhere as long as I have a long table. Thanks again.

This has been an awesome thread. God puts people in the oddest places sometimes, doesn't He? I came to this site to get ideas and inspiration for planning "that special party".

Reading the posts on this thread has made me smile, nearly cry and most of all than God that there are still REAL men and women who love Him for all that he has done and continues to do in our lives. Weddings are great and we love to feel special but at the same time we have to be mindful that the marriage is about family and that it goes way beyond that 1 day. I've read posts that make my head spin and make me wanna stop comng back and then there are posts like these that make me realize it's okay to be here. Thankyou ladies for putting a smile on my face

Camlynn that is so sweet! That makes me so happy that you could let God work in you two to fix your marriage. THere is little more precious than a saved relationship. That's awesome! @ shell, we go to IBS in Toms River, NJ. I'm not sure wat it stands for since I just started going! lol. But its at Grace and Peace Church.

And @ deanna i definitely know your pain! fh and read the five love languages, and it really opened up our minds. we realised that we have the same love language. physical touch. which makes it extremely difficult to behave ourselves, but we have slipped up once (over a year ago!) and we both felt horrible for it the second it was over. just not worth it. @ artisticveil i will be praying for you and your dh.

I really didnt realise how many ladies on here are living for God! it was starting to make me a little sad, thinking there were only 2 or 3 of us. glad to find out i was wrong. and Camlynn, i love that your having another ceremony! bringing an almost dead marriage back to life is just as much of a celebration as getting married in the first place. you ladies are awesome and we def got some amazing fh's/dh's. Thank you God for blessing all of us so much!

Honestly living for God is the most amazing thing in the world and camlynn your story was so touching and amazing. God is so good and the way He can transform lives is amazing. Six years ago before I knew the Lord my life was a trainwreck and now here I am living out for Him getting married to an amazing guy. All of which I never thought would happen. He has used me in so many ways. I went to the Dominican last year on a missions trip and was open to even more. I am open to all He wants to do through me and can't wait to see what He is giong to do through my FH and me.

I wanted to pipe in too and say that I appreciate this thread. My hubby and I are both Christians and we waited till our wedding to have sex and it was so worth it. I have never felt as close to someone as I do with him. I, too, can't wait to see what God has planned for us! I just know it won't be boring. Smiley smile

What a breath of fresh air you ladies are! Its so nice to know you're out there. Most of my clients are not on the same page as you since church folk most often don't have coordinators, although a few do. Don't get me wrong I have had fabulous, lovely clients - every one of them has been a delight - but there's something very special about devoted Christian marraige... oh & He is risen - happy Easter!
