Holaaaaa,

I'm finally at that point where some of my visions for the big day are starting to change. From day one of planning, we've never wanted a sweetheart table for the reception. We love our friends and wanted everyone to sit up there with us (plus it just looks cool lol) but now I'm having second thoughts.

I came across the cutest couple and their sweetheart table that looks pretty similar to my tablescape vision but for just two. The couple in the photo looked absolutely adorable and now all I can envision is me and my future hubby up there; justtttt the two of us. So we can't decide...also we're a party of 12 and I knew we'd need about 3 farm tables to complete the look. It was recently brought to my attention that everyone might not fit in the backdrop which is the big silver accent wall in the last photo. (I guess I should get table measurements now lol)

Anywho, here are some of my tablescape ideas! What are your thoughts? You think we can pull it off? What are you doing for your weddings?
You and hubby 👰🏾🤵🏾 or...
The whole team👩🏾‍💼👨🏾‍💼👩🏾‍💼👨🏾‍💼👩🏾‍💼👰🏾🤵🏾👨🏾‍💼👩🏾‍💼👨🏾‍💼👩🏾‍💼

You have a whole squad, I love it!!! Maybe you could do two rows if you have the space. Put your row up on like a stage (if it fits the budget tho 😟)

We did a head table. We preferred how It looked versus a sweetheart table. Plus, if you are in a wedding, you have to somewhat expect not being glued to your date the entire night. 🤷‍♀️

Personally I love a sweetheart table!!! I like the look and feel of it. And, then your bridal party can sit with their guests. It super sucks to be the date of someone in a wedding when you can't be with them most of the day but then can't even sit by them at the reception. We had a sweetheart table and I loved it!! I like attention though and I loved that we had that time just for ourselves. And honestly, much of the time we weren't even at the table. But, do what's best for you.

We are doing a head table, but instead of separating our attendants from their significant others and children, our head table will include: my FH and myself, his two sons, my mom and stepdad, FMIL and FFIL, my maid of honor who is my 16 year old sister, and his best man who is his brother and his brothers' girlfriend. We didn't want to to do a sweetheart table or table that just included us and my future stepsons because it seemed isolating to me.

We did a head table that was arrange more like a "U" so that could fix your large bridal party problems in front of the background. You could also seat their dates on the other side if you do a larger U. Most of our bridal party did not have dates so they were fine with a head table and they are very common where I live.

I’m a huge fan of the sweetheart table. Sharing that first meal together as husband and wife at a special table is so cute.

We're having a sweetheart table. I think head tables are awkward and uncomfortable for the wedding party's other half - especially if they don't know anybody and have to sit alone. Good luck!

We're doing a sweetheart table! I, originally, wanted a King's Table for all of our bridal party plus their immediate families, but our venue just doesn't have enough space for that. I'm excited to be able to have a little pit of time "alone" with my FH to just talk!

Lol Squad Up for real. The two levels would be nice and it was a thought actually with another venue we liked but with the one we picked, I'd have to make some adjustments. It's doable though. Good luck to you. Smiley ring

We are doing a sweetheart table. We love our bridal party but their partners are not part of the party. So we would like them to be able to sit with their partners as well.

We are doing a head table! Our wedding party is fine with being separated from their dates for about an hour so that solidified our decision! We are putting the SO's close to the head table though so that they're closer to us!

Sweetheart table. This is so romantic, and usually makes for a better appearance. It's kind of weird looking (just to me) to have your whole wedding party up there.

    (To each their own)

We will be having a sweetheart table! I have 8 bridesmaids and he has 9 groomsmen... plus their SOs... that would be a lot of people at one table haha

I would say sweetheart table because most weddings I go to, the couple is rarely sitting down except for speeches. Most times, I see them socializing by going table to table to greet everyone.

When my FH and I started discussing tables, he actually expressed that he wanted a sweetheart table when in fact I was feeling the opposite. After some thought (and research), we'll be doing a sweetheart table. I saw posts about our wedding party having guests/family that they'd most likely rather sit next to and it would be nice to have some "alone time" at some point during the wedding lol.

I loved be the sweetheart table—sweet, more photo ops and definitely better for the wedding party to sit at tables with their dates.

I want a sweetheart table but he isn't going for it yet but I'm sure I can talk him into it. As of right now our bridal party is only my moh and his best man and 1 groomsman ( his brothers) so I feel it would look weird only having us 5 up at the front table. Plus my moh will be married by then and her husband won't know anyone so I would like to sit them together but I don't know him that well so I am not sure I would want him at the head table ( I hope that doesn't sound horrible).

Sweetheart table for us. We’re both introverted and get people-d out pretty fast, and we also both have big families which means a 200-ish person wedding. It’ll be nice for us to have somewhere to retreat to when we need a moment to be alone and recharge.
