Sweetheart Table or Your Whole Squad?

Holaaaaa,

I'm finally at that point where some of my visions for the big day are starting to change. From day one of planning, we've never wanted a sweetheart table for the reception. We love our friends and wanted everyone to sit up there with us (plus it just looks cool lol) but now I'm having second thoughts.

I came across the cutest couple and their sweetheart table that looks pretty similar to my tablescape vision but for just two. The couple in the photo looked absolutely adorable and now all I can envision is me and my future hubby up there; justtttt the two of us. So we can't decide...also we're a party of 12 and I knew we'd need about 3 farm tables to complete the look. It was recently brought to my attention that everyone might not fit in the backdrop which is the big silver accent wall in the last photo. (I guess I should get table measurements now lol)

Anywho, here are some of my tablescape ideas! What are your thoughts? You think we can pull it off? What are you doing for your weddings?

Definitely just me and hubby! We actually have a inside wedding hut. It's like a little love hole. The bridal party cam go sit with their boo's and family

I think it's mainly because of how the layout would have to be changed. But where I am, I have never even been to a wedding with a sweetheart table. I'm excited to be around my friends and to celebrate/ have a meal with them to celebrate the wedding too.

First...love The Best Man!!! Totally get you and the whole squad, looks dope when you have a big bridal party. However, for us (well me, lol) we're doing a sweetheart table. We want the bridal party to be with their guests and let them relax a little bit. We have a small wedding party. Complete preference with what you and FH want to do. I like picture number 2. We're going to do high back throne chairs for our sweetheart table.

Well for us, we've been lucky to have the same friends for our entire 9 year relationship and some from childhood so our wedding party definitely knows some of our immediate family if not all so they'll be good either way. Also we're having a kid free wedding so the adults can have a good night lol, majority are single, half are from out of town and not bringing dates by choice. I think we can pull it off if they all fit in the backdrop and won't get in the way of where the servers walk through 😊 And they want to sit with us lol!

We did a sweetheart table. I loved having a few minutes alone with H while we ate dinner and just looking out at everyone who was there to celebrate with us.

OMG we have 11 BM's and 11 GM's. My first thought was to have us all at the same table, but now I think that may not be the best idea. I'm really thinking I may have to change it up to the sweetheart table now.

We are having a very large bridal party (16 people). I knew that would be too many people for a King’s table or head table or whatever they are calling it these days. Not to mention significant others and plus ones. So we are just seating our bridal party with their dates/ SOs amongst the guests. They won’t all be seated at one or two tables but spread out as there are different friend groups. I like the idea of a sweetheart table ❤️

Sweetheart table! I like the idea of being at our own table, even if everyone is at a table right next to us. Just so we can have a little space to ourselves during dinner.

We plan to have a sweetheart table- past weddings I've been in I have felt bad for FH if he had to sit at a table without me.Our sweetheart table will have 2 extra seats for our kiddos to join us.

Yessss awesome movie lol! Our friends are either from out of town, single and not bringing a guest by choice so either way will be fine for us. The issue is making sure no one is hanging off the edge where the servers will be walking through 😟 I love love love the set up of pic #2!!!
